Superb Paediatrics opportunities available!EXCELLENT RATES AVAILABLEWe are currently seeking a SHO - Senior House Officer in Paediatrics for a long term post in the North of England. The Locum Doctor will be responsible for the day-to-day care of all patients under the Paediatric Consultants. The programme of training for each individual doctor will be flexible depending on his/her particular needs and stage of training.Continuous medical supervision of all children admitted to the Children\'s Ward, both medical and surgical, under the guidance of the Consultant Paediatrician and the Consultants of other specialities. Examination of newborns, as well as routine medical care of infants, but excluding resuscitation, and care of very premature or problem infants.Emergency cover for the Children\'s Ward and the Postnatal Ward is by a compliant full shift system. Out-patient supervision of selected children under Consultant supervision.The emergency care of children in the Accident and Emergency Department, on request, and the care of emergency out-patients such as children on the open access file. Post is subject to satisfactory clearance under the Protection of Children Act.Trust came into being as an Acute Trust on 1 April 2001 and attained University status on 1 August 2008.Its business is to provide local acute hospital care for the people of Allerdale, Carlisle, Copeland and Eden Districts - a population of approximately 320,000 people.
